Why should you hire a professional photographer?
With the number of cameras at today's weddings anyone would have to wonder. I was at a recent wedding where there were five other camera persons besides the hired photographer.
Photography is a learned craft and that is why you should hire a professional for your important day. A simple tilt of a head can make the groom look like a million $$. A professional will know how to form groups and do them quickly.
Brides have been delighted with my custom, creative photographs for 31 years. I have the experience to be at the right moment to capture a little child looking at the bride. I constantly scan the room to see where candids are happening and then discretely capture them. I also never will touch a drink at a wedding other than coke or water. What if you asked your best friend's cousin to do the photos and he decides to have a drink or two during dinner. Would he be as sharp as an outside observer? Can you afford to let this happen?

Balancing your Time as well as your Budget
Cape Cod Weddings today go by so fast that they are over in a flash.
For your Cape Cod Wedding day to proceed smoothly, be sure to budget your time as well as your money. Most brides think their day will just flow but sometimes it does not. In the past I have started out three hours before the ceremony and the day flowed beautifully.
Would you like to take the time to have all your family photos taken prior to the ceremony? Families look fresh and this is the best time to document the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time. Imagine the glow on your face looking into the groom’s eyes and having extra time to speak to each other and having a private moment. This is a very emotional moment and many times it is lost.
With Video Coverage we can start with a creative opening having the bride starting her day with the girls, then the groom looking down at his gift from the bride plus his reaction, then we have the bride receiving her gift and the brides reaction with the girls. If you are not reading written vows to each other you can also have a private moment for the two of you speaking the same words you would want to say to each other if you had the time. We make the time to record this beautiful moment with just the two of you in a park or an outdoor setting. With the right music this can be one of the best emotional content you can have on the first few minutes of your personal video.
If you Budget your Time as well as your money you can be less stressed, have a better time and really enjoy your day.

Cape Cod Wedding Photographer
Richard Talmage Photojournalist has documented hundreds of Weddings over the years. Starting out first as a photographer and then switched to Video and now merging the two together.
Photography started out with box cameras and I started out with Rollieflex Cameras and Graphlex strobes. Even prior to that I worked with Studio View cameras with 4/ 5 film backs. For Video Coverage I started out with a Panasonic 456 and have made great strides since then.
The beginning of Digital was a bit of fun also with the cameras showing camera shift exposure and balancing the lights. Today that is a thing of the past.
Videography has also changed re the digital world. Today we are filming with HD cameras but started out with the Panasonic 456. That camera had an aversion to red. If there was a red carpet or a red flag on an altar the camera was a gem to fix. That is where I learned the great comment that I a shot was off color then turn it to black and white.
Once video turned into digital the newer cameras started to change each year. I have been through six camera systems since I started in the Video world back in 1994. There has been so much change over the last 15 years that would make your head spin.
